| In rural Cuba, I once ended up at a place called La Cueva del Indio or "The Indian Cave." Imagine a series of ancient, Indian frescoes in a cut-away mountain scene, populated by these tricked-out Birds of Paradise. Inside, there was this weird-ass cacophony of insects, combined with the echo of unseen bats. I felt like I was on another planet. |
